Johnstown, Colorado April 11, 2011

He’s a big boy. The large bales of hay are stacked outside the concrete and barred pens. On top of one of the bales was a circled curry comb attached to a long handle. This bull didn’t feel like being curried but he also didn’t have a mean look to him. I wouldn’t want to trust him anyway.

He really has a lovely face…he looks like he’d be gentle…but you were smart to keep your distance. You never know when these big boys might get “frisky”!!!

  • At one time when I approached, I saw the whites of his eyes. The cows and babies have been moved below and he’s a little lonely with them not being just next door. Barb

    I don`t trust no bull,…LOL
    Great shot,..

  • I wouldn’t be on the inside looking out, rather on the outside, looking in.

He looks tame here, but in a herd watch out. Nice capture and congratulations on your feature in the Fabulous Prairies.

  • He may look it … he has a kind face but I’ll remain strickly an observer. My friends Phil and Janet have a lovely farm in Johnstown, Colorado..
