This cold morning’s light was brightened by the first rays of sunlight. A soft snow had fallen throughout the night. This little Downey Woodpecker, the female, was feeding on one of the frozen suet blocks. She was a delight to see.
I knew of the approaching storm and the drop in the barometer caused my bones to ache. This little Downey made everything better.
