A hungry coyote searching for food in the snow covered ground. The rabbits and other small creatures take shelter in areas where grasses are plentiful during all of the seasons. Our eyess met and the she left with only the snow on her nose.

Thank you Lorilee. I think we were both surprised, the coyote to see me out on the front porch and me … to see such a pretty coyote. It must be a female, so cute a face. I think the males are thinner and a bit leggier. I enjoy the wildlife when they visit my small acreage.

  • Thanks Lorilee … I’m late in relpying because I thought commenting would get my thanks to you. My friend Ann straightened me out.

Whats this business about taking coyote photos from your front porch ? I’ve been 4×4 ing through the bush for a year and a half now and haven’t seen a wolf or a coyote. And whats this " must be a girl because its pretty " all about ? Have you girls noticed which birds are the prettiest ? Well now that I,ve got you all wound up, you’re coyote photo is " superb " Barb , great work !!!

  • Thanks Ray … yes, the male birds have all the color. Can’t do anything ‘bout that..
I noticed the coyote cross my north pasture from my kitchen window. It was a fast sprint with camera in hand to get to the front porch. I surprised it, it surprised me. My God I got a ‘feature.’ I don’t believe it.
