Alleyway Behind Cafe

Possibly my favorite photo that I’ve captured. Not sure exactly why. I don’t do a lot of street photography, but yesterday I decided to go out and see what I could find. This alleyway captured my attention.
I actually didn’t know the young man was in the frame when I shot the photo. He walked out from the back door of the shop for a cigarette, I saw a glimpse of him out the corner of my eye so I quickly shot the photo and left, it wasn’t until I got home that I noticed I captured him.
By the way, this is in Launceston behind the Quadrant Mall. For anyone who’s been to or lives in Launceston, you’ll know this looks nothing like Launceston. more like something from a completely different city, or even country.

Edit 11/April/09 – I recently found out that this spot no longer exists, it’s been filled up with brick and turned into a room at the back of the cafe. I’m very grateful I was able to capture this when I did.
