umm, what kind of help?

Inspiration can come from a lot of places.

I grabbed an old book at a garage sale Saturday…an old book about special effects film photography. I don’t really do film anymore, but there’s some good ideas in it that I can translate into digital. I love stuff like that. I buy lots of odd things at garage sales to use for still life work, or as props with kids.

My favourite places for inspiration are usually the library…specifically Freeman Patterson’s books :D, but sometimes Margaret Bourke-White’s work…

After that, it’s hiking. Then looking at ads in magazines and trying to think up better ones to shoot.

Lately when that fails I’ve started picking up a paint brush…not good at it, but it’s fun and I do find it inspires me photographically for some reason.
