Indian Hunter by Bruce Haney

This is a photo taken in Cooperstown, New York. The statue is in honor of James Fenimore Cooper’s famous character, Natty Bumpo. Natty was a caucasian man who grew up with a Native American tribe (the Delawares). He was renowned for honesty and trustworthiness in the Leatherstocking Series of Cooper’s works. This statue sits in lakefront park and is titled “Indian Hunter”.
