:) I wanted to comment you back about the candid shots.. I believe that you can join a few sites that do ‘royalty free images’ and submit your work there and make a couple of bucks off of it that way. I’m not sure what sites.. I guess it would just be trail and error. but if you look around I am sure that you could find a great use for your love of candid photography. :-) try a couple like these: http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/ or http://www.bigstockphoto.com/

Fantastic, Judith! It’s wonderful knowing that such a skilled photojournalist as you is keeping Abreast of life in NYC. Makes me want to stick out my Chest with pride. I”m delighted that you, as you said in an earlier comment, made a “quick grab.” Wish I could have been there to do the same – Because this shot is a real ~~teat~~ Treat! Sorry for the juvenile stuff…won’t happen again. Sometimes I’m an adult, sometimes an Utter Boob…. Anyway, one hell of a b&w capture. Don’t know which one I like better…which photo, I mean…that was unintentional, but see what happens when you start this sort of thing? You’ve got to Nip it in the bud – damn! (still want to encourage my writing? :) Surreal. The royal wave is perfect , and love the tattoo parlor in the bg.

first off…shawhouse….THAT was hysterical! you’re too much!! Judith this is a fantastic shot! I also love how everything is slightly “off”. I love the cross-eyed look, it adds so much character to this “character”. Love it!!! It should have been the front page picture in the paper!

Phil, you are hysterical and laughter is good for the soul! The royal wave is my favorite part of this pic in that i love geometric forms in people. i was in the crowd and she was on the float and she had the wave down pat.

actually, i was in a packed crowd and she was on a float (Gay Pride in New York is very crowded) and i got lucky to get off two good shots.

Iconic shot Judith. New York has always had it and all your images reflect this brilliantly. By contrast, although stunningly endowed by nature herself, Sydney was a pretty dull place until the mardi gras and gay influences in general changed it for the better … in so many ways that people don’t even perceive the connections anymore.
