Will had them lined up on the desk. Red, green, purple, red, green, purple. After working his way down the line, there are only two left. Red, green. Will’s fingers waver over each lolly, the faces of the jelly-babies smiling up at him. He chooses green and immediately wishes he hadn’t, because he wanted to save the best till last. Will always saved the best till last.
