life & loves poets and politics
fall like hail from the sky
bruising my skin
creep into my life i live in a shoebox
small enough for your heart to beat
life’s high’s and lows are like trips on a cold night
every step i take
the stair breaks
i broke my heart on the concrete the other day
it hasnt started hurting yet
the pain killers like lollies
fall into my mouth
the mattress i sleep on sinks into the polished splintered floors
like a sinking ship
dust settles in my hair & eyes
blurring what i see
music has become muffled like a stranger
fire works on the beach
the waves wash my suppressed body of the dirt you have created
but the sand
shells
and dust
wont wash from my hair
smoke is on the horizon
as i spin round and round and round
my eyes are tired
yet my mind wide awake
you throw words at me
I am drowning in your thoughts
yet no tears shed

wow……wow…..superb writing….thank you for sharing..
really – thankyou
-its beautiufl to recieve praise – & a relief of sorts, as it is not hidden within sheets of paper anymore – this one flowed from every corner of my soul—i did not have to think it was like it needed to be on paper – needed to be “externalized”
