FEATURED IN SKY HIGH
FEATURED IN POLYNESIAN TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY
An aerial view of Honolulu from high atop the Diamond Head crater. I have been going to Oahu, Hawaii for over 30 years and up until this trip I had never hiked Diamond Head Crater. What an awesome experience. It is better if you hike it early in the morning for heat issues. The trail is 1.6 miles straight up round trip and climbs to an elevation of 761 feet and offers 360 views of Honolulu. You can spot the pink Royal Hawaiian Hotel in the middle. Well worth the climb.

Great Shot! That last part of the hike is pretty narrow isn’t it. They used to hold rock concerts in the crater on New Years day called Leahi but they stopped that back in the early 70s
Thank you Patrick, concerts would have been really cool to see! Wonder why they cancelled them? Pleased you like this image :)

Wonderful capture but I think it has grown since I was there in 1971. Sure looks busy and BIG. Your hike sounds like fun. Good job!
