Inspirations by CallalilyColors

I have found that as an artist, there are many things that I am inspired by. Some artists would say that they are inspired by everything and while I don’t in any way disagree with this, I feel as though there are also very specific things that inspire me to do my work.

There are several things that provoke a very strong emotional state, that makes me feel like I need to be creative. The following is a general list of things that I feel inspire me:
Movies- with a great story, a happy ending, sometimes animated ones with great color schemes; Music- almost always alternative rock, 3 Doors Down, Thousand Foot Krutch, Shinedown and Alter Bridge are some great ones; Nature- I really love the colors and beauty provided by nature.

These are just some brief examples of things that inspire me, but I think that a well-rounded knowledge and experience with countless aspects of life are what make artists who they are. An art professor of mine once commented on my extremely high awareness level. He said that I am so aware of what’s going on around me and that I am just able to know how to interact with certain things, often without ever being taught how to. This was such a compliment to me and I have carried it with me ever since and taken great care to ensure that I always incorporate this skill into my art creations.
