" I hypnotised myself to ask the question, what is my sub-conscious? Under hypnosis I stood before an apparently infinite bleak vertical wall of water before me. Out of the darkness appeared a massive ancient silent face, with a tadpole like tail below its entangled beard. It floated before me, knowing me, but no verbal communication passed. I ‘asked’ if it could come through the barrier of water, it replied by distressing images of itself flailing about on the ground before me, a massive mouth gasping for breath as I tried in vain to push its gigantic wet bulk back into the water; a most upsetting image. I then asked pensively if I could enter its realm, by which it projected that for a short time that I could. I floated in a sea of emptiness, with no above or below, each direction a blackened sea of eternity. The gravity of eternity pressed hard against my mind. I screamed silently to escape as I could not comprehend it. I returned to where I stood and asked what does this mean? It replied by wordless thought that neither could survive in the others place, one constrained by time and the other by eternity. This being was ancient, perhaps all-knowing and almost silent, resting in the minds of men. It could communicate, but only by fleeting whispers seeping into the consciousness of temporal man.
The picture above is a representation of my ‘vision’ painted by my brother. If held upside down it has a person sitting reading reflectively from a book, while this opposite eternal entity waits and watches patiently for the acquirement of knowledge to reveal some part of its universal self."
