Eve returns to Adam having eaten the forbidden fruit.
Acrylic on canvas. 38 × 36 in.

this picture is a collaboration with fellow bubbler Jeff Schauss who painted a loose background on canvas so that i could then see what images would appear from the textures. neither of us had any pre-conceptions of what the image should be, letting the work develop into its own form was a breath of fresh air from my usual pre-planned assaults from sketches and notes. and so an image of eden emerged, in that critical interjunction between the fall of eve and the fall of adam, and the changing of humanity forever.

Ilove the lush celtic feel to this paradise – Adam looks kind of suprised at this turn of events!

  • nice one ariane, i never thought of it as celtic but you are highly attuned to such things i know – yes poor innocent adam looks a little bewildered by this event
