Ah neds—bottle of bucky and the are happy for hours at a time—specially if they get a quick chib in as well.

I’ll be back to live in Scotland in a few weeks. Better get used to it all again.

    Rob

  • haha nice one Rob, perhaps when you return a quick chib will settle you back in to the swing of things, thanks again for your support

Love Christopher Brookymyres stuff on Neds and this just fits right in, also Ian Rankin and Iain Banks, we went to Scotland for our honeymoon. Loved it but it was not a nedfest, Thank Christ. Neds are worldwide and are not an edangered species.

  • lol phil thanks, no honeymoon should involve neds (unless specifically requested), i’m glad yours was ned-free. a worldwide phenomenon you say, thats tragic, surely a david attenborough style documentary is called for. you sound well read Phil, i have not heard of this Chris Brookmyres but sounds worth a read, cheers again

rofl, I man, I was reading the comments and when I saw your attempt at the Aussie slang I burst out laughing as I imagined that accent of yours wrapping around our harsh OZ slang, oh man….that was brilliantly funny. So which one are ya? Scottish or English? Geesh but not I’m really confused LOL

  • LOL Tahnja, my Aussie accent sounds great in my head but the voice just blows it, i learned all i know from watching neighbours after school, i owe so much to Harold Bishop and friends

    NOOOOOOoooooooooooo!!!!!!
    Bloody Neighbours! >/ gggggrrrrrbdfrebndgnjgeyrtdebgfdrbfm!!!!
Have issues with that bloody show! lol
Well I lived with a Glaswiegian from Easterhouse for 10 years [had 3 kids with him too – another story] and I only heard him talk in his native accent twice [other than when he was furious!] and both times was on the phone to his mum and I was dumbfounded! for years he’d spoken in what I thought was his usual accent without realising he’d anglicised it heaps!

But then my sister had me in stitches when we met him once
She asked him if he understood Thick accents
He replied “Well I understand yours!”
She replied “No I mean like Packistani?”

Meanwhile I’m on the floor gasping for breath begging for mercy and helplessly giggling hysterically! lol – that’s why he dated me not her! lol God my sister can be blonde! She’s so blonde she makes up her own jokes! – but that’s another story!
And none of this has anything to do with your cartoon! lol :O)
    Chookas! X♥X

  • LOL!!! Thankyou heaps for rambling that was well funny, some of us got to Anglicize just to get by – he and your sister make quite a double act

Chookas you sweet man you X♥X
