Oil on Carved Panel
This is a tribute piece to a great artist, friend and teacher. Well known throughout southern Manitoba as a potter, painter, sculptor, and landscape architect, the late Marcel Debreuil is especially known for creating a megalithic circle; three ripples of massive stones crown the crest of his property along the Pembina escarpment in Southern Manitoba. The two inner circles are made up of seven stones and the outer circle is made up of forty nine stones.
This piece started as a carving which was later painted.
