I am an artist in Ithaca, Ny, although my home is in the New Forest of southern England. I work in all different mediums. I have a foundation degree in art and design from Bournemouth and Poole College in England. Although I learned to work with all sorts of mediums, at the time that I completed my program I was concentration on traditional black and white photography. I was very much inspired by Lee Miller and the other Surrealist artists from her group. Lately I have been working with crafts a bit more. I make dream catchers from materials I collect from the New Forest, or lately from different woodland areas in New York state. All materials come from nature, are found objects, or are recycled. I also knit funky hats and bags and I paint with oils. I make letter art, and assemblages as well.
Art is my life, I think I would feel a great void if I were unable to create something.
