Is that sweet girl holding the painting you or is it the owner? Love this short video! I just discovered your art, by chance, and I love your paintings and sculptures, I enjoy the freedom of your lines and materials. I would like to be able to imagine how your eyes see the same images…
Cahl Schroedl:
Hi Ina, the sweet girl is the proud owner of the piece.
well to imagine what I see the world through my eyes, hmnnn, a lot of hangovers, lots of music, guitar and writing lyrics and singing, lots of Bonsai and being surrounded by beauty, a very understanding girlfriend, colour blindness, stress and a good dash of humour.
Going overseas helps the mind as well, going to Kyoto during the Cherry Blossom festival helped immensely with understanding the subtleties of Japan, reading up about the lives of my favourite artists eg: Vali Myers, Austin Osman Spare, Aubrey Beardsley and Charles Ricketts. Not to mention getting into the headspace of the makers of some very fine antiques that I’ve restored over the years….. then you might have an understanding ;).
Be happy with knowing that you have the ability to create, this is a rare thing to have these days.
Thankyou Ina for dropping in and having a look around my world, hope to show you some more of it yet.
