RAMON CABAN BRIZZIE

CABAN-BRIZZIE was born in San Juan city, capital of Puerto Rico, on January 1st,1958. He studied Industrial Engineering in the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez campus, and in the Polytechnic University of PR. He obtained a degree in Art and Business Administration at the University of Florida, and also attended to many workshops in the ‘Liga de Arte’ as in the ‘Escuela de Artes Plasticas of Puerto Rico’, given by well-known artists such as-Franklin Graulau, Betsy Padín, Jackeline Del Valle, Lizzette Rosado, and Carlos Ortiz ‘Sueños’.
The artist started a formal path through art in the year 1995, concentrating his work on acrylic painting and drawing. His art attempt to emphasize on the figure as the protagonist, and then complement the composition with an abstract background that excites the senses, suggesting mood changes through color.
