Coop’s House looked like this in 1960 when we moved in across the street in Saratoga, Wyoming. Since then, his parents died and he lived there alone. I suppose he may have been a mechanic because his clothes and hands were always covered in grease. He never spoke much to anyone, but he always went weekdays to meet some of the guys at the Sands Restaurant for coffee. I believe he’s died meanwhile, but his house looks pretty much the same and I took a number of photos when I went to Wyoming March, 2011 to visit my siblings.

When I lived in Wyoming (my soul state), I mostly took nature shots, often macro works, including plant life. Now that I live in a city, I still love nature work, and I also love architecture, design, geometry, urban art, etc. My work tends to be abstract, expressionistic, impressionistic, or minimalistic. I hope I continue to see with fresh eyes, and like a child, capture the a sense of wonder of this fantastic world and its people.
