I’d been taking photos of Pueblo haciendas and was returning to my car when I spotted this scene. I thought it was a dog cut-out because he sure wasn’t moving! After quite a few camera shots, he suddenly began to bark and I knew he was real.

When I lived in Wyoming (my soul state), I mostly took nature shots, often macro works, including plant life. Now that I live in a city, I still love nature work, and I also love architecture, design, geometry, urban art, etc. My work tends to be abstract, expressionistic, impressionistic, or minimalistic. I hope I continue to see with fresh eyes, and like a child, capture the a sense of wonder of this fantastic world and its people.
