I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in grief and loss. I returned to photography and quickly became involved in digital art after the death of my mother in March, 2010, as a way of using the creative process to heal grief. I love my work and my life. I am owned by two cats and devoted to them, family, and friends.
When I lived in Wyoming (my soul state), I mostly took nature shots, often macro works, including plant life. Now that I live in a city, I still love nature work, and I also love architecture, design, geometry, urban art, etc. My work tends to be abstract, expressionistic, impressionistic, or minimalistic. I hope I continue to see with fresh eyes, and like a child, capture the a sense of wonder of this fantastic world and its people.
When I bought my digital camera, I did so in order to take videos of an intern. Upon my mother’s death, I began to take photographs and get involved in digital art. I currently use a Kodak Z981 IS camera with Zeiss lens and 14 MP. I use Photoshop Elements 8 to process my photography or create digital art from my photography or create designs strictly from the software itself.
