Our society has the technology to merge the waves of air and water into the synergistic hybrid of Wind/Wave Turbine Farms. To use the two natural renewable and constant forces of nature would help keep the costs of energy low as well as constant without adding to the ever increasing greenhouse effects that is leading to global warming. The merging of these two forces do not run out if you think “what happens when there is no wind?” Anyone that has been to ocean beaches can attest come rain or shine; clear or cloudy skies they are constant the ocean waves don’t stop nor does the wind cease. How much power can be generated by Wind/Wave Farms built instead of drilling for a finite and diminishing source of energy?
President Bush who is a traditional “oil” man and his proxy from Arizona want to drill for fossil fuels which the experts have stated won’t begin to produce any crude for 5-10 years and there is no guarantee that many of those leased areas will have any oil at all. Though President Bush has signed an order countermanding his father’s executive order still needs Congress to actually make it a reality. It is time for the lawmakers to make it an incentive for a set percentage of those lands be made into Wind/Wave Farms. The source of the energy is not finite nor is it diminishing plus the farms can come online in less than 5 years. Where drilling is expensive and even with the current technologies is still not a guarantee of finding fossil fuels, the waves and the wind are constant 24 hours a day year round.
When you go to the voting booth in November keep in mind sustainable energy solutions are not grounded in fossil fuels. Those that advocate that drilling for oil is the answer to our energy woes probably have had their campaign coffers lined with the money of “Big Oil”.
Here is something to think about when you go to the polls:
“In a 1998 interview, Osama bin Laden – the terrorist organizer of 9/11 who still roams free – listed as one of his many grievances against the U.S. that Americans “have stolen $36 trillion from Muslims” by purchasing oil from Persian Gulf countries at low prices. There is no need to elaborate on the implications of such a victory in terms of loss of U.S. prestige and our ability to prevail in the Long War of the 21st century. It is therefore imperative that the U.S. Congress do its utmost to forestall such a setback.”
Do you want the same people running the government that has fumbled the ball since 2001, be they Democrat or Republican? If our elected representatives continue to support a policy tethering us to the failed policies of “Big Oil” are they really representing America’s best interests when they continue to support the status quo.

It’s never been about the ‘people’ – it’s always been about keeping the ‘rich people’ happy.
Politicians will whore themselves to whoever will push a dollar into their g-strings. And who doesn’t everyone think is getting their money changed into $1 notes for?
And as for Osama bin Laden.
If he truly cared for his people, he wouldn’t brainwash those who are weak willed into committing horrifying crimes.
The weak will always look to other people to give them guidance, some are even to the point where they serious cann’t think for themselves.

It’s sad when they tell you, you can vote, then you go vote, only to find out that your vote didn’t count, or the polling place box got lost, gas is so high here in Los Angeles, people are going crazy, stealing gas from stations and one another, but do you think they care ? NO. if we don’t make a stronger stand then we will always live the way they say,

It is disheartening, but we can not let this get us down. We have to push back and demand change. When is the last time that any politician read the Declaration of Independence?
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government
Our government derives its power from us, the governed. Has our government become destructive to the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of its people? And if so, what does this Declaration declare that we have the right to do?

Great commentary and oh so true Thomas. It seems both sides in this election have been paid off by “Big Oil” especially when they offer solutions that are 10 years down the road. The times remind me of the Boston Tea Party…taxation without representation…We need to stop “Big Oil” from pushing us around and use some common sense and stop re-buying our own oil after we pump it in the USA and then sell it overseas and then re-buy for use here. Economic Warfare!!
