The problem with depression is that it appears so often, and as often, unintroduced by any certain thing! It appears as if uninvited to dinner. It appears, often cloaked in disguise, and strips away the outer garments as the mind is just relaxing. Depression is a natural state for all of us, and yet, it seeps into the rivers and streams and bayous of the mind, and for some of us, it expands and contracts, as though swollen by life’s storms…..sometimes sweeping away the mind entirely, other times, wallowing with lesser thoughts, with happier thoughts, in the ebb and flow of life itself. That’s why God made prozac, frankly, and this is why I continue to exist in a somewhat workable way….
