I believed that there was just one nesting pair of Osprey in Byron Bay but was amazing to notice a second nest. Right in the centre of town, by a busy road but close to the ocean (food source) a pair have built a nest right on the top of a Norfolk Pine. They have at least one chick and are very busy (unnoticed by all the humans below) bringing food and sticks (fortifying the nest) back to the site.
