Much to my joy Harriet, the juvenile Osprey from last years season, came for a visit. Her parents were nowhere to be seen but true to form she squawked and carried on, circling just above my head making her displeasure felt. She’s never liked me getting too close to the nest and squawked her head off from a few weeks old if I got too close. Her parents don’t mind but she will only land and settle down if I move back.
Wonderful shot! Don’t be sad, she’ll be having babies of her own soon
Thanks Trish … you know Osprey are not sexually mature until they’re at least 3 so she’ll be on her own for awhile, hopefully she’ll survive the perils of the world.

Beautiful :)
Thank you, she’s a gorgeous bird but her parents are ‘shooing’ her away now because they’re breeding again which is kind of sad!
