Laughing Kookaburras often become quite tame around humans and will readily accept scraps of meat. This ‘pre-processed’ food is still beaten against a perch before swallowing. This one of a pair has repeatedly stolen goldfish out of the water-jar in my backyard. It sits in front of me in a tree and bashes the goldfish against the branch repeatedly and then manoeuvres to get it down its throat. He also has a way of looking entirely innocent of any wrong-doing or just avoids my gaze entirely! Canon 450D, EF70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM

No I know why you said in another rely that it was just as well it wasn’t a goldfish. A great shot that you wouldn’t get again in a hurry. Sandy
Lol … thanks .. hopefully it’s a one of shot but it has managed somehow to get one other goldfish since then even with wire over the water jar!
