This juvenile Osprey from the Belongil Estuary in Byron Bay is ready to fledged but she’s a bit scared to actually take to the air. She kept going to the edge of the nest & peering over & flapping her wings madly. She did little hops around the nest and eventually started screaming at her mum, who was nearby, as though she was saying she couldn’t do it. On this particular day she did just retreat back into the centre of the nest for a rest but she did take to the air the next day.
