This juvenile Osprey from the Belongil Estuary in Byron Bay is spreading her wings ready for flight. It seems clear that she finds that scary and squawks for her mum after few hopping flights around the nest and after going to the edge of the nest innumerable times and changing her mind. She did fly the next day! Canon 50D, EF70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
Awesome shot these birds are just beautiful. DoF, focusing & lighting are just perfect very very well done.
Many thanks for all your great feedback Paul, I love photographing birds in particular …. I’m in Bali at present so hoping some photos will come out well from here!
