The Joys of Moonflowers by byronbackyard
A tiny Striated Pardalote rests on a moonflower in my backyard in Byron Bay. Moonflowers are a succulent which flower profusely around Christmas. The large, delicate blooms last one night and are dead by morning.

Yes I know as I have 2 plants. This year they gave me about 30 flowers for their second year of flowering, they are amazing. I sat up and took a sequence of shots about a min or so apart and did a slidshow of them, it turned out great showing the flower opening.
This shot with the Pardalote on it… I didn’t know they were around at night, a great capture, is this the original as I would like to buy a print but I’m worried they may chop his head off being so close to the top of the picture.
