In all my deeds may I probe into my mind, And as soon as mental and emotional afflictions arise – since they endanger myself and others – May I strongly confront them and avert them.
This is about being conscious of your thoughts and taking positive steps to avoid avoid hurting other people.
As previously mentioned… every person experiences pain and suffering. We all have thoughts and feelings which are negative, and these thoughts and feelings harm not only other people – .
We can make a conscious choice in the short time we have on this planet to either hurt others with our own negative thoughts and actions, or we can choose to be more than that, we can choose to recognise that we have caused pain and suffering in other people – and ourselves.
We can recognise that enough is enough and that we no longer want to carry this burden of our own pain. We can choose to recognise the part we have played and to no longer accept harming ourselves and others with our negative thoughts and actions.
We can forgive ourselves for whatever we have done in the past, intentionally or un-intentionally. We can forgive ourselves for our actions, our words and our deeds. We can accept that we have all suffered enough and that we are ready to open our hearts to each other.
