Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I found it to be very useful and inspirational I just started my own photography business because it was time. It is growing in all sorts of unexpected directions which is tremendously exciting. This site has moved me out of my comfort zone and I am experimenting with lots of new concepts. So very grateful for the support.
You should create your own INDEX PAGE journal of links to cool stuff like this in RedBubble, and then create a link to it from your Profile Page. That way you can always find these things really quickly & easily.
Well I don’t know about the angel from heaven bit, but thank you. If you have any question about anything [especially posting images and text formatting] just drop me a bmail or post a message in here!
Its a really good collection ..i didn know you are a skilled photographer too :) ..i use to click on ur posts to read your delicious tr8s and more it;s ur avatar which makes me giggles and clicks on always :), hey please post some guide to capture art works best ..am juggling with this often and in such failed attempts shifting to digital art gradually
No not at all dear …you are multitalented infect – its just your poor lazy viewers ( specially artist’s like me …who always open RB in some exhaust and sleepy state:)..after 3-4 heavy doses of cofee :((), sry for that …
actually when we i click on work it anyhow creates some part of it shiny ..or a little blurr also , i donno why it even change tone also ..overall my works never appear as good they are in real :(((
I have had people ask me so many times about these types of things. You have presented the answers better than i could ever hope to. From now on, i will be directing them, here. Thank you, so much, Byron for this amazing set of tutorials. Very kind and generous of you :).
I had forgotten about this index page, since I now display it on my RB HomePage.
May I also recommend that you direct everyone to the REDBUBBLE TUTORIALS LIBRARY GROUP where they will find all these tutorials – and a whole lot more from RedBubble Members around the world!
I simply want to take a Floral Image and make the BACKGROUND BLACK…. can you direct me to some help for that… I didn’t think it would be hard… i do NOT have Photoshop…. I have Paint.NET…. GIMP if nec, I hate it.. and Picasa which i don’t think will help me… lol any suggestions… much appreciated..
What you want to do is actually quite difficult to do very well…
Well its more inviolved than difficult per se.
You will need to use GIMP, or PS or anything that allows you to create “Layers”.
You also need to be able to use the Colour Selection Tools, create Alpha Channels [if you are using GIMP] or use the "Background Erase Tool in PS.
You also need to be able to use the BLUR tool.
Then you will need to know how to Align Layers, and Merge Layers, and finally how to save as a .PNG filetype.
Now, this sounds hard… I don’t think it is particularly… but it is the sort of thing that you will need to practice a LOT before you get the technique perfect.
For an in-depth explanation of the process drop on over to the Photography Critique & Advice Group critique ORANGE HIBISCUS where our Group Member Glenn wanted to achieve the same thing.
You will see my explanation of the process about half way down.
Let me know how you go and I will help you through the process.

Could you add the words ‘byron’ and ‘howtos’ to your tags in this journal. Makes it easier for me to find them and refer to them.
Thanks,
