Holland Creek has a number of dams in varying stages of decay, dating back to the early 1900’s. The dams were used to collect water for washing coal at the colliery at Oyster Harbour (Ladysmith).

    Suitably dark and dingy for a colliery, the water is a the perfect focal point. I didn’t know they washed coal!
