Found this dragonfly on my hanging basket of petunias when I opened the garage door. It was still early and the sun was not shining on the house yet. Had to grab my camera and tripod and really got close to him. He seemed to be drunk from the sweet intoxicating smell of the petunias that morning.

WOW! Now that’s a macro!! WOW again! Amazing shot Adam, the detail’s stunning! Talk about larger than life! :o)

  • Thank you very much. Lucky for me it was inactive like in a sleep mode. So I was able to get several shots at different exposures and angles to get the best to my liking. Its so hard to get these things to stop and sit much lesss shoot and get a decent shot. I have always wanted to get a shot of a dragonfly. So … dream come true.

Fantastic macro , so close yet totally crisp, great work Adam.

  • Appreciate the crisp comment. I was lucky to have this guy in his sleep mode and was allowed to get close to him without spooking.
