The Big City - Aerial Photography by

Flying in the air looking southwest past downtown Chicago. A big city spanning 234 square miles, and the golden yellow street lights just seem to go on forever.
The weather changes here constantly with an average annual rainfall of 33 inches and average snowfall of 38 inches. It gets unbearably hot in the summer and unbearably cold in the winter with some wonderful weather in between, many times making over 2.8 million people miserable.
After all is said, it’s still a strikingly beautiful city.

I enjoy photography of all kinds. If it was how I supported my family financially, it would be a dream come true.

Fantastic night shot Adam… that view is something else. I can’t get over the size of the place!! That sky really is awesome, looks like it’s from a sci-fi movie ;o)

  • It’s a big city. Third largest in the U.S. I was happy with the clouds in the sky. Gave the image some accent color. Thanks for checking this image out.

Wow, how did you get this so clear from a plane! Great shot Adam!

  • A big ass sensor on a 5D, Canon 24-70mm lens with aperture wide open at f2.8, and an ISO speed of 3200 helps. That’s right. You read it right. ISO 3200. As fast as she can go. thanks for watching and for the WOW.
