Double Whirlpool by

This image was inspired by an artist on RB named tasdam. Tasdam’s image, “Bird River – Tasdam-1” is a fantastic image showing bright white cirlular lines captured by the camera shooting the Bird River n Tasmania. I have tried to capture anything as profound, but I did get lucky with this one.
This is the creek flowing out of Lake Falls in Matthiessen State Park in northern Illinois; my Tasmania.

Camera: Canon 5D
Lens: Canon 24-70 mm
Filter: Heliopan slim polarizing filter
Exposure: 20 seconds
ISO 50
Aperture: f22

Just goregous. What a lovely scene and color Adam.

  • You would love this place. Just have to bring an extra pair of sock and shoes cause you can’t walk around here without getting your feet and ankles wet, unless you have waterproof hiking boots like yours truly.

lol…as a matter of fact, I do have waterproof boots.

  • Keep ’em ready. I still owe you some info on Starved Rock State Park. You will want to visit this as well since it is only about a mile and a half away from Starved Rock.
