Certain items in nature seem to emanate something different at different times of day. Sometimes it’s a shine, sometimes it’s a glow. I think when it starts getting dim in the evening, certain plants and flowers show residual light that they have been capturing and storing during the day. I think we see it happen late in the day right before dusk hits, but the camera needs to capture it a little earlier, maybe an hour earlier.
Next time you are sitting in your backyard or front porch and evening creeps in, stare at something like an impatiens or some petunia flowers and watch the glow right before it gets dark. It is a subtle, but wonderful experience.
