Good shot Adam!! Excellent detail and colors. Heading to botanic gardens this morning with my 11 and 13 yr. old grandsons. They’ve both taken an interest in nature photography the past year, so they’ve got their point and shoots and are pretty excited about the gardens. They didn’t even complain when I told them I’d be waking them up about 6 … LOL!!

Thanks John and bring back something nice from the Botanic Gardens. It is a beautiful, still morning today. I hope to get a shot of my daughter with a butterfly at Brookfield Zoo today.

What a beauty. Excellent color and dof. Love the black hole effect of this beauty.
Adam Bykowski replied
Thanks. This was a tricky flower to get all the color.

This is the 2nd to last image I took that night in my garage. It was shot number 39 out of 40. The only one that did not have it lit from underneath like the “Petunia for You” image in the vase. They are the same flower, yet if you look at the flower that is in the vase it looks red. I had a vision to aim a small flashlight from underneath a glass vase to get a special effect and did all kinds closeup shots and did not get the planned shot to my liking. When I was getting ready to put everything away and shut off the flashlight the remaining light in the garage lit it up totally different where the petunia looked like it was supposed to with its natural color. This low light produced the best effect out all the other shots. It was totally an unplanned surprise.
Goes to show you, I rarely get the image that I plan in my mind or set up.
