how pretty! what is the weather like an austrailia? we don’t have this kind of bird in connecticut, usa! mary

  • Hi Mary. The weather at the moment is starting to get warm… Spring here in Brisbane, Queensland. Yesterday it was a shocker – dust storms for thousands of miles. The sky was orange, creepy, and it was like dusk all day. The day before was beautiful, about 29C and sunny all day.
The Bird is a Galah or “Pink Cockatoo” – “Cacatua roseicapilla” – very common here though not often in the suburbs – I got a bit lucky with this shot. The tree is one of their favourite food sources
