Location: Mare Island Abandoned U.S. Naval Base Vallejo California Technique: HDR (My first 3 shot HDR!)
Featured in Group: “Posted: NO TRESPASSING” – February 14, 2009 “Unwanted, Abondoned” – February 21, 2012 . . Could not do my normal HDR sequence which consists of 16 to 23 shots because of an annoying fence blocking my view. Even when I got my aperture set up so the fence wouldnt show, the framing just wasnt how I wanted it. So I had to prop my Baby (Camera) over the fence and did Auto Bracketing instead, bummer.
Hope You all like it!

Looks great, Ben :) Have you ever compared a 3 shot with a 23 of the same subject?
With this shot I had to do a bit more dodging than usual because the shadows didnt have the depth I was looking for and the highlights made the sky look YUCKY! I just hoping the Dock itself draws more attention than the sky.
Yes I have, it almost looks the same when coming out of Photomatix but when I start working on it in CS2 there just isnt enough information there for me to do what I want with it.
Just when I think I want to dive into this HDR stuff I start reading discriptions and feel overwhelmed! One day I will tackle it but untill then I will feast upon your amazing work. Absolutely love this Ben :)
Hey girl why wait? As long as You got me to help You diving into is a cinch!
Your normal HDR’s consist of 16-23 shots? Holy smokes …. What exposure value difference between them? No wonder your HDR look like noone elses do. But even this 3 shot HDR is fantastic.
Some folks do question why so many? I always say why not?!
