16/11/2008 SE Queensland was hit by a massive destructive storm that caused millions of dollars of damage to homes in it’s path. Large hailstones also hit some areas. This image is taken from Bribie Island in low light conditions as the storm headed north with the Glasshouse Mountains, cowering as it were, in it’s path.

Great shot of a storm front…

  • Wild Wild Wild … the light was really low and getting a decent outcome meant really milking the settings. Appreciate your comment Richard.

Oh my, this brings back bad memories. My daughter’s plan landed 15 mins before this hit, and we were driving home through the worst of it….yikes!

  • Yikes, now you can see what you were sitting under… all the green in the image is hail!! Yikes is right!!!!
