Tacoma Glass Museum – Art by Chihuly
This is taken of a glass ceiling on a freeway overpass & to stretch the imagination a bit, it is like viewing coral while snorkeling. These are individual glass pieces placed on the clear over head glass ceiling! Photographing this had it’s difficulties as there were lots of reflections to work around.
Permission was granted by the museum to photograph the public art

Ahhhhh, so good you could see this and photograph Chihuly’s work. He’s a master. Have you seen his installation underneath a glass-bottomed swimming pool? Photos of it are in a book I have about Chihuly. Imagine swimming and looking down onto these swirling colors. A lovely image, Barbara. Sending bear and whale karma your way, too! :-)))
His work to me, in an abstract way, always reminded me of a coral reef, so if you could see it while swimming – mask and all, maybe that is how it would appear?
