These ancient ruins are actually what is left of a old gravel pit that was started in 1945. A few years ago the land was aquired by Pierce County and turned into a pro class links style golf course and public park.
Image captured using a Nikon D-300 with a Sigma 10 to 20mm lens, processed with Photoshop and Silver FX pro.
Wow I would have been mystified if you didn’t tell me what it was :-)
Thanks Dale, years from now when everyone has forgotten about the old gravel business I wonder what people will be thinking about these structures? Aliens or some kind of religious cult perhaps.
Would have never thought it was WA cool treatment on these
Thanks Dave, that was the great thing about this photo-shoot, in color the images I took look very fitting for Puget Sound (green grass and fairly flat gray sky) but when converted to black and white it changes everything, looking like someplace else altogether..

Great shot Bryan.
Thanks Gail. This is Puget Sound’s version of Stone Henge.

Excellent image
Thank you Bruce, it’s not often I get to capture a local image that you would never guess comes for Puget Sound by looking at it.
