Douglas DC-3 static display at the Olympic Air Show in Olympia, Washington June 19, 2011. The DC-3 revolutionized air transport in the 1930s and 40s making the air transport industry both affordable and profitable.

My photographs are not always technically correct, I tend to break the rules but I do that knowing what the rules are and having a reason to do so. My photographic images are what and how I see the world around me in my minds eye—they are who I am.

  • Thanks Lucin, I thought I would see how un-static I could make this shot look.

What a perspective Bryan. Excellent work.

  • Thanks Paul. The clouds had been flat gray for most of the day I was lucky enough to capture a little patch of blue along with some contrasts in the cloud formation that really make the DC-3 stand out.

I could have sworn you were wing walking on this one Bryan! Great P.O.V.

  • Well I was (kind of) only the plane was standing still so it wasn’t too difficult. Much easier than hanging out the canopy like this shot.

Cool shot, Bryan. Great in BW.
It certainly did revolutionise air transport. Most amazingly, many are still flying today.

I would like to thank the person who purchased a framed print of my Western Airlines image. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Thanks again, Bryan.
