I enhanced the lines and features of this Civil War re-enactor who already had a very expressive face. With this image I used a tutorial from the NAPP site called Dramatic Photo Gritty Look. Converted the image to black and white, copied it and pasted it over a new colored (off white) layer and erased the outside edges of the image. Lastly placing an image of an old tarnished metal plate as a third layer converting it to overlay and reducing the opacity trying to imitate an 1860’s vintage tintype image.
