Taken first thing in the morning I don’t believe this horse was ready for a days work just yet. This young Union Civil War reenactor Cavalryman and his horse seemed to have a difference of opinions as to where exactly they were going to go.

My photographs are not always technically correct, I tend to break the rules but I do that knowing what the rules are and having a reason to do so. My photographic images are what and how I see the world around me in my minds eye—they are who I am.

Great shot, Bryan. Yes, the horse definitely wants to go the other way :)) That rider looks like he can handle the situation just fine. Great work!

  • I believe the horse was thinking of that flake of alfalfa back at the barn!

Great expression on both their faces Bryan!! lol..perfect timing !! *-)

  • I was told that the horse had not been ridden in a few days and didn’t want to be ridden on this one. The young rider got a lot frustrated which didn’t help the situation either.

  • Thanks Keven…it was a lot of fun shooting the images, except for the night the tent blew away in 60mph winds with me in it…next time longer tent stakes!
