Image of a Union Civil War era military saddle with calvary horses in the background. The town of Port Gamble was founded in 1853 with all of the buildings in the main part of town being from that era. This makes for the perfact backdrop for the annual Civil War reenactment held there. The border I used is taken from a family photograph taken in the late 1860s.

My photographs are not always technically correct, I tend to break the rules but I do that knowing what the rules are and having a reason to do so. My photographic images are what and how I see the world around me in my minds eye—they are who I am.

Beautifully done, Bryan. The Civil War Enactment must have been great. I wish I had been there. I love the old frame. Great work!

  • Thank you Sue. They hold the reenactment every year around the middle of June. This is the third event I have attended and have had a great time at all of them. If you like history these types of events are fantastic.
