A friend of mine let me borrow her 105mm, f2.8 macro lens to play with—this is one of the first images taken with that lens. I wonder if my wife would let me buy one?

My photographs are not always technically correct, I tend to break the rules but I do that knowing what the rules are and having a reason to do so. My photographic images are what and how I see the world around me in my minds eye—they are who I am.

great details in this frame and lovely composition, lighting , buy one, it’s so awesome , i personaly got the sigma 105 2.8 for financial reason and love it,

  • The Sigma lens is what I have borrowed and will be taking a lot of photographs this weekend (weather permitting). At $400 US for the Sigma vs, $800 US for the Nikon I can see what you mean. I wonder if the VR on the Nikon lens is worth the additional $400? That 150mm f2.8 Sigma macro lens looks interesting also but it’s $600.

Super image – the diversity of color and line make it very interesting.

  • Thank you Ken, I’m glad you enjoyed my image of this little fungi
