My photographs are not always technically correct, I tend to break the rules but I do that knowing what the rules are and having a reason to do so. My photographic images are what and how I see the world around me in my minds eye—they are who I am.

I could hear some twilight zone music when I looked at this image. However inspite of that, this is stunning! Beautiful color and cloud formations, love the snow on the mountain, it looks just like frosting!

  • Thanks for the wonderful comments dolphindancer—Rod was whispering in my ear when I took this photograph.

Hi, Bryan! I’m so glad you caught this picture! We were driving down Hwy 18 when we saw it, and all three cameras we had were out of charged batteries! Now, thanks to you, we have a photo anyway! Thank you! – Pat

  • Glad I was able to help out Pat. With the unstable weather we have been having the last couple of weeks we are bound to see more images of the mountain like this. They say we are supposed to get some cold weather from the north this weekend which may give us another chance for some nice views. Keep those batteries charged. I always have at least 2 spares with me.

    Beautiful work!

  • Thanks Prasad. Mother Nature made it easy—all I had to do was focus my camera and take the picture.

Bryan, I am very curious where you get this view from. I’ve been wanting to find a local spot to shoot the mountain on a whim. We get the most amazing sunrises/sets during winter here.
This is another amazing shot of my favorite NW view. ;)

  • I get to cheat Kody. My mom lives down on Harborview Dr just east of the Tides Tavern.
