Glad you like the image Deb. Gig Harbor has been home to a fishing fleet for generations. Most of them go up to Alaska for fishing in the summer. In talking with a couple of boat owners they figured that their fuel costs alone to fish this summer would be around $100,000 and with the price of fish being down chose not to make the trip this season. They will fish the fall chum run here in Puget Sound though without the high travel costs of getting to the fishing grounds.
