About Bryan Peterson

My photographs are not always technically correct, I tend to break the rules but I do that knowing what the rules are and having a reason to do so. My photographic images are what and how I see the world around me in my minds eye—they are who I am.

I love this Bryan, What intelligent facial expression. Great shot.

  • Thanks Memaa, having worked with apes for a few years at our local zoo I can attest that these fellows are thinking about things a lot more than we (as humans) give them credit.

The great apes are a wonder, I could watch them all day. Great capture.

  • Thats true barkeypf, I have been lucky and spent 5 years at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, WA working with the elephants and siamangs. Both of these anamals are extremely intelegent and a joy to work with. The primates on occasion though can be way to human like in their behaviors!!

I did not know you had worked with Apes. That must have been one of the greatest jobs in the world! I always remember Coco, the Gorilla that was taught sign language and given a kitten to care for. I wish we would spend more money studying and helping understanding apes in captivity. I hate for any animal to be behind bars. I know our zoos have improved greatly over the years, but I wish we could do ever so much more for them. After all, when we place them in captivity……….they are totally our responsiblity. Your doing great work……keep it up!!!

Thanks Memaa. From my work in the fire service and going to a lot of rest homes for medical responces I can say that at least a Point Defiance Zoo the animals were better cared for than many of our older members in some of those rest homes.

Thank You for sharing Your Marvelous Talents with us here at RedBubble.
Great shot of a Marvelous creature………

  • Thanks Terry—I’m just lucky to be able to capture some images like this once in a while. The nice thing about photography is that it teaches us to slow down once in a while and see what we are looking at.
